This
"Pick and Place" machine was built for an assembly and inspection
station. It replaced an existing, but worn and tired, device.
This "Pick and Place" machine is used to transfer RJ-45 computer
networking connectors from the assembly machine and into a fixture
for inspection. The inspection is performed by a "Vision" system,
which is "looking at" the wires within the connector to ensure that
they are both present and properly positioned. The inspection station
then directs the output chute to shift to "good" or "bad" buckets,
depending on the result of the inspection.
