WE ENGINEER SOLUTIONS:	In this case, we were approached with the task of pressing this plastic dispenser tip into this plastic bottle. The original process relied upon the screwing on of the caps (not shown) to press the tips into the bottles. The existing process resulted in many failures. Also there was a bottleneck in the assembly during the capping process. A new cost-effective solution was required.
	Our first task was to model the bottle and tip. Using customer supplied drawings, these basic models were created.
	From these models we worked from the problem out to find a suitable solution.
	In a design review meeting we provided the customer with a 3D solid model our solution, along with a sequence scheme of the machine's operation. A puck holds eight bottles and moved into the machine where tips are pressed into the bottles. With the customer's approval we proceeded to create machine and layout drawings.
	Here you see the finished product. The mission was a success. Part reliability increased and the assembly bottleneck was relieved. While this was a very small and simple project it provided the opportunity to quickly explain the process in which we design and communicate with our customers.
